TITHING

We believe that giving is an act of worship. God’s Holy Word teaches us that God is the source of everything we have. God owns it all and He has made us stewards or managers of what belongs to Him. God requires that we return a portion back to Him through our giving to the church. Our giving should be in proportion to what He has given to us and it should be given voluntarily with joy.

 

We embrace proportionate giving—giving by percentage until 10 percent is reached—which is a wonderfully joyful and empowering journey. There are thousands of years of spiritual wisdom in this practice and it is no accident that it is the Bible’s standard. Jesus Himself often spoke so pointedly about the faithful management of personal wealth.  We promote and encourage all of our members to be tithers. We believe the idea of being a tither is supported by scripture in God’s Holy Word.

 

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND

The mission of the Capital Improvement Fund is to support and undergird the ministry, people, programs, and activities of the church.  The Capital improvement  Fund will enable the church to continue to make much needed repairs of our edifice and grounds.
